Diplomas

The introduction of Diplomas is at the heart of this programme. By 2013 every 14-19 year old will have the right to take one of any of the 17 Diplomas.

Diplomas bridge the gap between vocational and academic education and are designed to give all 14-19 year olds a fully rounded education, equipping them with the qualities, skills and knowledge for entry both into further and higher education and employment.

Diploma students will follow an area of interest (Line of Learning) based on an employment sector.
